Google Calendar can be used in several ways in Thunderbird / Lightning:
- Using the add-on Provider for Google Calendar. The calendar can then be added by clicking on the "+" sign ("New caldendar...") in Lightning, and choosing type "Google".
- Using CalDav:
- Click on the "+" sign in Lightning, choose "network" and format "CalDav".
- Provide the address
https://apidata.googleusercontent.com/caldav/v2/<username>@gmail.com/events. - Enter username.
- After finishing the Lightning dialog, a popup to log into your Google account is shown; after logging in, grant Lightning permission to read and write your calendar.
